Where did you get that thought from? Did you copy someone else's work? It's impossible for someone to copy your work cuz I doubt you write novels. Hahaha.
Logically speaking, there is nothing you can do because the guy published "his" novel before you do. "His" novel will be copyrighted and yours isnt. On the other hand, he can actually sue you for copying his work instead. Life is sad and unfair. Next time want to write novels dont tell people until you've finished and published it.
